KUALA LUMPUR, May 19 — The Ministry of Education (MOE) and stakeholders of the education region need to make a complete observe to decide the reason for poor English Language (BI) talent amongst college students rather than blame it on teachers’ negative draw close of the language.
National Union of the Teaching Profession (NUTP) president Aminuddin Awang said they should become aware of the reasons for college students’ bad English performance rather than issuing a directive for English language (BI) choice teachers to sit down for the Malaysian University English Test (MUET).
“Our view is that besides shortage of BI choice teachers, there may be different factors consisting of environment or loss of motivation as college students are not required to pass the BI concern within the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examination and so forth, so we should sit down together to discuss the factors.”
He became speakme to reporters after attending the NUTP English Language Education Seminar here nowadays.
On April 14, Education director-trendy Datuk Dr. Amin Senin, in a round, issued a directive for teachers coaching English Language to take a seat for MUET so that it will evaluate the level of English skillability in line with the necessities set out within the Malaysia Education Blueprint 2013-2025.

However, Aminuddin said the English Language Education Reform Plan in Malaysia: The Roadmap 2015-2025 did not state the need to take a seat for MUET other than the CEFR.

He also advised the MOE to make clear who had been the teachers required to sit for MUET.
